Georgia Lehoczky, RPh, is a distinguished healthcare and pharmacy executive with nearly four decades of progressive leadership at Walgreens. Today, she serves as Regional Vice President of Pharmacy & Retail Operations for Walgreens in the State of Georgia, where she provides strategic leadership across pharmacy and retail operations, with a focus on patient care, operational excellence, team development, and the continued advancement of community pharmacy.
Georgia began her Walgreens career in 1987 as a Pharmacy Intern and has continued to grow through increasingly significant leadership roles throughout the organization, from Pharmacy Manager and Pharmacy Supervisor to regional executive leadership. In her previous regional role, she was responsible for leading pharmacy operations across more than 600 Walgreens locations spanning South Florida, Southwest Florida, Tampa, Palm Beach, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Her experience leading complex, multi-market operations has given her a unique perspective on healthcare delivery, team leadership, patient advocacy, and the evolving role of community pharmacy.
Throughout her career, Georgia has been recognized for her leadership and commitment to advancing healthcare. Her accomplishments include being named a Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association Luminary in 2020 and HBA Ambassador Visionary of the Year in 2019. She has also received Walgreens’ National Patient Advocate Award and served on the Walgreens Advisory Council, reflecting her longstanding commitment to patient-centered care and the pharmacy profession.
A passionate advocate for developing people, Georgia has devoted significant time to mentoring and educating the next generation of pharmacy professionals. Since 1999, she has served as a mentor and preceptor to pharmacy students and emerging professionals and has maintained relationships with pharmacy programs at institutions including Larkin University, Nova Southeastern University, the University of Florida, and Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. Her dedication to professional development has been recognized through national preceptor honors, including recognition as National Preceptor of the Month by Drug Store News.
Beyond her professional responsibilities, Georgia has built a remarkable legacy of community leadership and service. She has supported and served organizations dedicated to healthcare, children, families, and community well-being, including the Pace Center for Girls, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, American Diabetes Association, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Diabetes Research Institute, Cystic Fibrosis organizations, and the Dolphins Cancer Challenge, among many others. Her commitment to giving back has been a defining part of her leadership, and she has consistently used her influence to connect people, organizations, and resources in support of meaningful community causes.
Georgia has also been deeply involved in advancing leadership opportunities for women and developing future generations of leaders. She has been a longstanding supporter of Extraordinary Women Leading Change and currently serves as Chairwoman of the EWLC Executive Board, helping guide the organization’s strategic direction and its mission to bring leaders together, foster greater collaboration, and create opportunities for leaders to learn, connect, and grow.
Georgia’s leadership is grounded in a strong belief that healthcare is ultimately about people—caring for patients, developing those who serve them, strengthening communities, and creating opportunities for others to succeed. Her career reflects not only exceptional professional achievement, but a sustained commitment to leadership, mentorship, patient advocacy, and community impact.
Georgia earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from Albany College of Pharmacy of Union University and holds professional pharmacy licensure. Her career continues to reflect her commitment to advancing the role of community pharmacy while helping develop the people and leaders who will shape the future of healthcare.
